Special K Bars (Scotcheroos)
- 1 Cup Corn syrup
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups Peanut Butter
- 5 Cups Rice Chex
- 2 Cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 Cup Butterscotch chips
Mix corn syrup and sugar together in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally, and immediately remove from heat. Add peanut butter and stir.
Combine Rice Chex and peanut butter mixture in a greased bowl and stir well. Press into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
Combine chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 second intervals, stirring in-between. Be careful not to burn. Smooth evenly onto Rice Chex and peanut butter mixture.
Allow topping to harden before serving.
